Cecil was a "return" dog that came to live with me as a foster. He was six years old. He was with us for a couple of weeks before I came to the conclusion he would stay with us forever. He had the goofiest looking ears I have ever seen on a greyhound...they were thick. He loved stuffed animals and would collect all of them from around the house and pile them on his bed. It would be difficult for him to get into the bed with all the toys. He was diagnosed with bone cancer just after the New Year. He had been with us for almost three years. I was with him six weeks later when he finally journeyed over the rainbow bridge. Don't ever think you don't want to take on an older dog. Both of these guys were the most loving animals even though they had not yet found their forever homes. |
